Keel and Bottom Fairing

Waterline Systems was started and built its reputation on the quality of our keel and bottom work. Fairing a keel seems pretty straight forward. It isn't. In our 20 years we've learned that no amateurs and very few shops can produce a fair and symmetrical keel.

Even then, no shop in the world has invested the time and expense in developing the ideal keel. Working with some of the best hydrodynamic engineers in the world, Waterline Systems has developed proprietary, class-legal shapes for a number of classes.

Technical limitations make it impossible for a fiberglass hull to leave the mold perfect. It may look shiny and nice, but it is not fair. A Waterline Systems bottom job fixes that. A boat we've faired has less drag than one we haven't. It's pretty much that simple.

If you can't hold a lane coming off the starting line, call us. If the boat next to you seems to surf a bit sooner, call us.

More Upgrades

The top guys tweak every part of thier boat looking for the edge. Deck layouts, rigging, even the best outboard to use! The top guys turn to us for this. If you are stepping your program up, do what guys like Terry Hutchinson do, leave the boat to us and concentrate on the sailing.

Class legal speed

Waterline Systems is very comfortable working with in the contraints of class rules. We optimise boats to be the fastest possible boat that fits within the class rules.
